About Eli
Rep. Eli Evankovich was elected to serve as the voice of the people of the 54th District in 2010. As a husband, father and taxpayer, he understands the economic difficulties families are facing, and he will work to rein in government spending and bring back efficiency to state government.

Eli grew up on his family’s farm in Murrysville. His agricultural background fostered in him a sense of dedication and a tireless work ethic, and his experience in the business community has given him insight into how to get our state’s economy back on the right track.

Applying the expertise he gained as a financial analyst with U.S. Steel, Eli has made job creation his number one priority. He will promote a business-friendly environment in Pennsylvania, allowing small businesses and manufacturers to create good-paying jobs while worrying less about government bureaucracy.

Along with job creation, Eli will focus on reducing Pennsylvania’s over-inflated budget by controlling spending, cutting waste and making our state more competitive. If families must spend within their means, so should the public sector.

Eli will protect our state and national constitutions and will advocate for states’ rights, Second Amendment rights and school choice. He will also strive to reform Harrisburg by ending perks, restructuring the pension system and ending the influence of special interests.

Eli is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration. He, his wife, Heather, and their children, Mia Leslie, Elissa Aron and John Alan, reside on the family farm on which he grew up and still tends.
